History

  Put into operation on December 20, Juche 109 (2020), it is a comprehensive base for producing national musical instruments including string, woodwind and percussion instruments.
  On August 3, Juche 100 (2011), the last period of his life, Chairman Kim Jong Il proposed building an excellent factory specializing in the production of national musical instruments.
  True to the intention of the Chairman, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un acquainted himself with the progress of its construction and settled all the problems arising in the construction.
  The general wood machinery and iron and engineering workshops are equipped with domestically-made modern CNC machines.
  The factory has assembly lines for producing string, woodwind and percussion instruments like okryugum and oungum, jangsaenap and fife, drum and janggo, as well as an inspection and packaging processes.
