It was established on October 26, Juche 42 (1953) and renovated in Juche 106 (2017).
  The factory has upgraded its equipment including dust collector and CNC reed grinder.
  Now the demands for the Unbangul-brand accordions for accompaniment and bayans produced in this factory are increasing at the international markets day by day.
  It was honoured with a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the WPK, the Order of the National Flag 1st Class and other official commendations and won the titles of the “Lathe No.26” Model Factory and Model Sports Factory.
  It has produced thousands of merited workers including the winners of the Order of Kim Il Sung and those who were awarded the commendations from President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and watches inscribed with their autographs, as well as Labour Heroes, winners of national orders like Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize, Kim Jong Il Youth Honour Prize and the Order of the National Flag 1st Class and the Order of Labour.
  When it was established over 60 years ago, it was a small-scale musical instrument plant.
  But since then it has steadily developed into a world-leading musical instrument factory that is able to make quality accordions and bayans of scores of types.
