A Song Sings of Superb Scenic Beauty

Yangsando is one of many folk songs favoured by the Korean people.
It is a typical folk song of the northwestern provinces of the country, which sings of brilliant beauty of the capital city of Pyongyang and the pride of the people living in a beautiful country.
Its words depict Chongnyu Cliff under which the clear water of the Taedong River from Yangdok and Maengsan meanders and the superb scenery in spring on the banks of the river added by weeping willows.
They also vividly describe the picturesque scenery of Moran Hill and Rungna Island on the Taedong River, and impressively represent the simple desire of the Korean people to live long on such a land of golden tapestry.
The folk song will resound across the country forever, along with the blessed life of the people enjoying happiness in the embrace of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
