Created during the anti-Japanese armed struggle, it is a militant revolutionary song for children that calls upon the Korean children, who were suffering from poverty and misery under the colonial rule by the Japanese aggressors, to be rallied behind the red flag of the revolution with a single mind.
   The melody of a two-part form is vigorous and optimistic to the even and rhythmic cadence.
   The song is still widely sung by the KCU members as it depicts the life and emotions of the anti-Japanese Children’s Corps members in a vivid artistic way suited to the mental world of children.
