The opera The White-Haired Girl consists of the prelude, six acts and finale.
The main subject of the original–that the old society makes ghosts of humans but the new society led by the Communist Party makes humans of even ghosts–is portrayed through the love relations between the leading characters–Xi’er and Dachun.
