The revolutionary opera The Sea of Blood, from the immortal classic of the same title, was premiered on July 17, Juche 60 (1971).
Composed of seven acts, it raises the question on the national and class liberation, clarifying the great idea of anti-imperialist revolution and armed revolt that there is resistance where there are exploitation and oppression and the idea of the decisive role of the leader in the revolution, the significance of a revolutionary organization, and the idea of unity.
