The drama, produced by the National Theatrical Troupe, depicts how soldiers should guard their posts under the influence of the Western style and “sweet wind” through the activities of a unit of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army stationing in Nanjing Street, Shanghai, China.
It teaches the revolutionary truth and lesson of the class struggle by depicting that, although a revolutionary war to liberate the country is over, the class struggle continues. It also depicts the army-people relations and unity between superiors and inferiors.
